Graduated from Colégio de São Gonçalo in the field of Applied Biotechnology. Demonstrated exceptional academic performance, earning a university admission score of 18.1/20. I particularly excelled in Mathematics, achieving an outstanding score of 19.1/20 in the national Mathematics A exam, which showcased strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), graduating with an average grade of 14.24/20. It was in the final year that I was able to truly excel, standing out as one of the top students, as evidenced by the record of grades on my academic certificate. This phase not only deepened my technical knowledge but also solidified my passion for IT and programming, while the interdisciplinary nature of the program fostered a broad and versatile skill set. Covering diverse fields such as Physics, Computation, Instrumentation, Electronics, Health Science, Chemistry, and Mathematics, the experience equipped me with technical expertise and the ability to adapt to diverse challenges, enabling me to approach projects with a well-rounded and innovative perspective.

This English course, lasting approximately six months, was part of a gap year between my Bachelor's and Master's degrees. It was a deliberate decision to address limitations I identified in my English proficiency, aligning with my philosophy of self-improvement and overcoming challenges that may hinder my growth. If I perceive something as a barrier or disadvantage compared to those around me, I strive to resolve it. The course was an immersive experience across four different locations: 7 weeks in Malta, 3 weeks in London, 9 weeks in New York, and 2 weeks in San Diego. Starting at level A1-2, I progressed to B2-2 by the end of the program, as certified by the completion certificate. This journey significantly enhanced my communication skills, boosting my confidence for personal, professional and academic engagements.

Completed a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP), graduating with an average grade of 17.13/20. During this program, I deepened my expertise in computation and electronics, solidifying my skills in various programming languages and developing significant projects in the field of artificial intelligence. My MSc Dissertation, titled "Gait-Based Identification from Images by Computational Techniques," earned the maximum grade of 20/20. This work encompassed a systematic review of gait recognition methods using Deep Learning models applied to 2D images and the creation of an innovative, scalable gait acquisition and recognition system. By integrating angle-enhanced models, the system achieved improved recognition accuracy, contributing to advancements in biometrics and computer vision. Details of my grades and courses can be found in the diploma supplement.
